Ammad Nafsat is an economics student at Depaul University in Chicago. He seems like a normal undergrad student striving for a degree to find a way into his desired career field. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Ammad is only 22 years old and has been involved as an Advisory Board Member for a pharmaceutical company, a finance director for a non-profit, co-founded and sold an events company in eight months, raised money for internationally recognized events, managed event budgets, and modeled for beauty products with over 50 million views. He is currently on track to make his influencer marketplace company, Flayyre, the leading influencer tech platform. Ammad was the most interesting rising star we profiled and we reached out to him for an interview. Below are a few questions we asked him.
You are 22 years old and you have so many accomplishments under your belt. How do you manage your time?
When I first started taking on different ventures I took on any challenge that came my way. Most of the ventures I worked on were successful and the reason for that was because any team I was a part of was good at what they did and it helped expedite the work I’ve done. Now I’m only focusing on one venture and that is Flayyre because being focused is a critical factor for success and I need to devote most of my day for this venture.
What is Flayyre and what are your plans with it?
Flayyre is a marketplace where influencers can easily sell promotional services online. For example, an influencer will make a social media post for your business for $X. I feel like current companies in this space haven’t developed the appropriate technology to simplify the process of businesses hiring influencers for advertising and Flayyre will focus on simplifying the process.
How is Flayyre doing as a business?
Flayyre is doing well. We are launching with a total potential reach of 800 million and we will have a good variety of A list celebrities, influencers, and micro-influencers. We have the right team in place and we are ready to be a leader in the industry.
How much potential market share can you achieve in the next 3 years?
I think within the next three years we can retain the most market share in this industry because we have the right team in place and the resources to help us achieve that.
What was the most important part of your professional journey?
The most important part of my journey was realizing that focus and team are critical when you want to lead in a market filled with competitors. Everyone is trying to do what you do and that thought makes me work harder.
Thank you for joining us Ammad! We are looking forward to seeing the accomplishments you accomplish with Flayyre.
Our conversation with Ammad was a good one and when we spoke to him he was good at showing enthusiasm and passion for everything he spoke about.
