Amy Grant Niece’s Wedding Is Of Same-Gender: She’s Hosting It

Amy Grant made an announcement regarding her niece’s wedding, which has gone trending on the internet.

In the announcement, she said she would be hosting the same-gender wedding of her niece. 

Amy Grant is a famous Christian singer and songwriter who is 62 years old.

She shared a statement in an interview, where she said she would be hosting her niece’s same-gender wedding. 

In the past few years, you have seen the Christian singer-songwriter support the LGBTQ community.

After supporting the community, it was noticed that she began receiving fame from all over the world.

Amy and her country music star husband, Vince Gill, have organized their niece’s wedding at their family farm.

In a statement, Amy said that this was the first time a bride and bride wedding was happening in their family. 

Her family believed that it was a gift that their niece had the same gender attraction.

She said, “Honestly, from a faith perspective, I do always say, ‘Jesus, you just narrowed it down to two things: love God and love each other.’ I mean, hey — that’s pretty simple.”

Franklin Graham says that he disapproves of Amy’s announcement. Graham is the founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. 

He shared a statement on social media where he wrote, “God defines what is sin [in the bible], not us; and His Word is clear that homosexuality is sin.

Graham says he is strictly against same-gender weddings, and in 2017, he opposed a bill banning anti-g*y conversion therapy.

He called same-gender attraction an “abomination.”

However, Amy didn’t receive much hate after Graham’s statement, and several people shared posts in favor of Grant.

A user wrote that Amy is doing a great job, but everything comes with a price. 

A user of social media called Amy “a wonderful example of Christian witness for decades. So many of her songs have helped me through tough times. I’m so sorry that all you can do is judge and condemn. You’ve got the whole gospel wrong. Very sad.”

A user wrote, “Oh, you did NOT just go after Amy Grant! How DARE you criticize someone for showing love?

The user added, “She is an amazing woman who has shown more grace and charity than you ever have. You don’t get to judge her or anyone else. I believe that is made perfectly clear in your Bible.”
