DaniLeigh is the stage name of American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and choreographer Danielle Leigh Curiel, born on December 20, 1994. 

DaniLeigh has been performing professionally since the same year. After starting as a backup dancer, Curiel kicked off her career by uploading cover versions of popular songs on YouTube.

After relocating to Los Angeles, she began creating dance routines for other artists and continuing her dancing career. 

Her collaboration with Prince in the music video for his single “Breakfast Can Wait” was a watershed moment in her professional life.

In 2017, DaniLeigh was given a recording contract by Def Jam Records, and she began putting out mixtapes and songs in the same year.

When Curiel was only 18 years old, Prince approached her with the opportunity to direct the music videos for his hit “Breakfast Can Wait.” 

Following the video’s success, Prince continued to serve as a mentor to DaniLeigh until his passing in 2016. 2015 saw the release of her debut single, titled “D.O.S.E.,” but 2017 saw the debut of her first commercially successful hit, “Play.” 

This new record, featuring the Mexican-American rapper Kap G, is an empowering song for Latino women and Latinos.

She issued her debut extended play (E.P.), Summer with Friends, in 2017, following her signing with Def Jam Records. 

The following year, she issued The Plan. The latter includes guest spots from rap artists such as YG, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, and Y.B.N. Nahmir. 

She came up with a few additional songs. These include “Easy.” Which featured vocals from singer Chris Brown in a remix. And “Lil Bebe,” which featured vocals from Lil Baby in a remix. 

These versions were released as remixes. She has also appeared in a cameo role in the music videos for “Hot Girl Summer” by Megan Thee Stallion

She was DaBaby’s choreographer for the “B.O.P. on Broadway” music video in 2019.

The musician was forced to apologize in January 2021 after posting a snippet of a song called “Yellow Bone” on social media. The portion of the song was deemed offensive since it promoted colorism.

How Did the Car Accident Happen?

DaniLeigh is a singer-turned-influencer. It was detained in Miami on suspicion of DUI in connection with a hit-and-run collision that allegedly left one victim critically injured.

Reports are attempting to flee the scene of the collision. The artist, whose real name is Danielle Leigh Curiel and who is 28 years old. It was brought into prison at about 8:15 a.m. 

On Tuesday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre, located close to Miami International Airport. 

According to the arrest documents, she was booked on three felony charges, one of which was leaving the exact scene of an accident that involved significant bodily injury, another was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and the third was injuring a person while driving under the influence. 

Police Statement

According to a police record DaniLeigh, who began her career as a backup dancer, was allegedly speeding and swerving in Miami Beach early in the morning before colliding with a driver on a moped. The driver had injured as a result of the collision. 

The officers gave a breathalyzer test after smelling alcohol on the suspect during the traffic stop. It revealed that the suspect had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.148. It’s nearly double the permissible level. 

The victim was transferred to the Ryder Trauma Centre in Miami. Where he was treated for injuries that did not threaten his life, it’s including a kidney laceration and a spinal column fracture. 

Since then, she has been free after posting a bond of $9,500. 

The event takes place two years after the singer, located in Miami, has a kid with the infamous DaBaby, who shares a 20-month-old daughter with him who made headlines for an altercation involving her former boyfriend. 

When DaBaby, whose actual name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, called the police to report that she had assaulted him in two separate occurrences in November 2021, she had arrested and charged with two charges of simple assault concerning those incidents. 

The New Album will be Released in 2023

After the late April release of her “Tasty” bop, which Bongo produced, the 28-year-old had begun to build up some steam in the music industry in 2023.

DaniLeigh disclosed earlier this month that she assisted in providing more choreography for the dance included in Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, which she called a “dream come true.”

She said on Instagram that she had “kept this on the DL for the past year” but was “so grateful to have been a part of some of the choreography for the Queen Beyoncé Renaissance Tour.”

“It is a privilege, and you have no idea how blessed I feel. A dream come true!!! I thank Beyoncé and her team for putting on such an incredible spectacle.

DaniLeigh had a packed schedule throughout May, as evidenced by the fact that she performed in New York last week as part of the Smirnoff ICE Relaunch Tour and was photographed in The Bahamas for some rest and leisure.
