He was pre-deceased by his loving woman of 31 times, Susan Porter, and his parents, Alvin and Dorothy.

George served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was good as a Flight mastermind on the P2V Neptune and the P-3 Orion.

He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Two Good Conduct Medals.

Also, he entered the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Medal, in addition to colorful crusades, service, and unit lists.

After his military service, George worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 825 and took great pride in working with his hands both professionally and in his hobbies.

George deeply loved animals and cared for many beloved pets over the years.

He also loved spending time with family and friends, particularly sharing stories and laughter over a drink at some of his favorite local haunts.

George had a unique talent for making every person feel valued and cherished.

Family was always the most essential thing to George. He leaves behind seven beloved children: Jacqueline, Steven, Mari, Amanda, Alison, Donald, and Kimberly.
