Who Was Rhaenyra Targaryen?
Season six of Game Of Thrones ended with Cersei Lannister as queen of Westeros. She had some friends on her side.
In the season, we also saw that enemies from every empire threatened her. Putting more situations against her, she didn’t have a dragon at her disposal as the only other woman to claim the Iron Throne before her.
Despite Cersei being the first official female queen of the Seven Kingdoms, she didn’t get to sit on the Aegon, the Conqueror’s royal chair as Westeros’ ruler. This position was entitled to Rhaenyra Targaryen.
In the final episode, we saw that Rhaenyra was first married to Laenor Velaryon. She had Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey Velaryon, who were all rumored to be the sons of Ser Harwin Strong.
She held the position of Kings responsibilities during the Targaryen Civil War, known as the Dance of the Dragons.

How Did Rhaenyra Targaryen Die?
Rhaeyra Targaryen was the first woman to claim the iron throne. In the series, Game of Thrones, many rulers were shown, but none had ever held the iron throne.
In the episodes, we see that Rhaenyra Targaryen has a brother who is also a dragon. She was shown as the fierce queen whose terror was spread in different empires.
However, her rulership came to an end in season 3, episode 4, when Joffrey Lannister was spending his free time with Margaery Tyrell and giddily.
During the conversion, he told them that Rhaeyra Targaryen had been murdered by her brother, who was also a dragon. He added that the dragon ate her while her son watched.
