Jordan Sangbong’s missing case initially gave rise to an air of concern. The authorities issued an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy who went missing from Royse City.
The Amber Alert program is designed to help law enforcement officers improve their response to cases of missing or abducted children.
A 2-year-old boy was abducted by his own father because Daddy Sangbong, his father, lost custody of his children after he allegedly assaulted one of them.
Royse City Police Department and Child Protective Services launched an investigation on Wednesday after an allegation that 37-year-old Daddy Sangbong had physically assaulted one of his children, a 6-year-old boy.
The child was taken into protective custody, and Child Protective Services later decided to remove Jordan as well.
An attorney working with the missing child’s father, Daddy Sangbong, contacted the police and agreed to turn him in.
Officers and Child Protective Services arrived at Sangbong’s home on Mohan Street in Royse City at 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday, but the father was found to have fled with Jordan just moments earlier. A search of the area failed to find them.
On Wednesday, the police said in a statement, “An arrest warrant for injury to a child, a third-degree felony, has been issued for the father.”
The Royse City Police Department has reason to believe the two-year-old child may be in danger and is asking for assistance from anyone with information regarding the child’s location.
Jordan is described as a 2-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 2 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 38 pounds.
Daddy Sangbong is described as a 37-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
On Thursday, March 16th, the Amber Alert was canceled as Daddy Sangbong and his attorney arrived at the police department around 8 p.m., and Daddy was arrested without incident.
The missing child, Jordan Sangbong, was not with his father at that time.
At 9:15 p.m., a family member brought Jordan, unharmed, to the police department. He is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
Cases of missing children are of grave importance, and the authorities give their one hundred percent to finding Jordan.
Thankfully, Jordan was found unharmed and in a safe state and is currently being taken care of by Child Protective Services.
