Lil Baby – The Self-Taught Artist

Dominique Jones aka Lil Baby was born on December 3, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised by his mother because his father left the family when was only 2 years old.

Jones also has two older sisters, both of whom he loves and cares about. He had a difficult time in school when he was a child.

However, he did not have learning problems or academic challenges, but he was dropped out of Booker T. Washington High School when he was in ninth grade.

Charges

Dominique Jones was accused of some of the charges related to possession with intent to sell and others in early 2012.

His first counsel pushed him to accept a two-year plea offer, but he refused and hired a new attorney. Lil Baby was taken to prison when he was about to turn 20 years old, unaware of what his future held.

Then he was placed in a specialized program for a year by this new attorney. He got into an argument with a white prisoner over racial remarks while taking the session.

His mixtape blew off in Atlanta’s underground music scene and the whole new album was played at a number of Georgian taverns, bars, and cafés.

All of his lyrics literally portrayed his life ventures which he had faced in the past and his music also reflects his time when he was in jail.
