According to people briefed on the matter, the official allies of Former President Mr.Donald Trump are now quietly started to reach out to the members of President-elect Mr. Joe Biden’s transition team.
This outreach by Mr. Donald Trump and his allies to Mr. Biden might be a sign of Trump’s refusal to concede elections and the sustained obstacle from the White House is now beginning to frustrate not just Mr.Donald Trump himself but even those affiliated with the administration. They are still about to acknowledge newly elected Mr. Biden’s victory and to begin with the formal transition which is creating a delay that has obstructed Biden’s team from starting the orderly process of taking over the expansive federal bureaucracy.
As a result of the disagreement between both the parties, Mr. Biden and his allies are still remain inaccessible to contacts with the federal agencies, funding to help ramp up government hiring for the new administration for newly elect government, and an right of entry to categorized intelligence briefings.
Former President Mr.Donald Trump said that,
“He and his allies are viewing the outreach effort as putting duty to the country over partisan considerations.”
Whereas, Biden and his team is stressed out that the outreach is not in any way a replacement for the national security and Covid-19 briefings yet Mr. Trump administration refuses to provide Biden’s teams.
Mr.Biden suggested, in a virtual event with frontline health care workers,
“Hopefully, when he’s gone, they will be more willing to do what they know should be done, has to be done, in order to save the communities they live in.”
Earlier Wednesday, A Spokesperson for the Biden transition team Kate Bedingfield stated that,
“It requires more than former officials choosing to step forward and be helpful to ensure a smooth transition of power,” she said. “GSA should follow the law and ascertain the results of the election so that Americans get a smooth and effective handoff between administrations.”
