At RFA 44, Woodson met Kevin Brown Jr. for the first time and eventually submitted him. 

He would go on to win his next four fights while competing for Shamrock FC, defeating Coltin Cole at Shamrock FC 283 by TKO in the first round, Rashard Lovelace at Shamrock FC 290 by unanimous decision, Seth Basler at Shamrock FC 295 by unanimous decision, and Lovelace for a second time at Shamrock FC 311.

Woodson made an appearance at Dana White’s Contender Series 21 with only five days’ notice and 24 pounds to lose in that time. 

He fought Terrance McKinney there and won by TKO in the second round to secure a contract with the UFC.

On June 27, 2020, Woodson was scheduled to compete against Kyle Nelson in Poirier vs. Hooker: UFC on ESPN. 

Nelson had to withdraw from the fight owing to visa complications, and Julian Erosa took his place. In the third round, a D’arce choke caused him to lose the battle.

On November 28, 2020, Woodson was slated to take on Jonathan Pearce at UFC on ESPN: Smith vs. Clark. 

However, Kai Kamaka III took Woodson’s place after he withdrew for undisclosed reasons a week before the event.

On June 5, 2021, Youssef Zalal and Woodson squared off at UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Sakai. He received a split decision victory. 

On November 13, 2021, Woodson and Collin Anglin squared off at UFC Fight Night 197. He won the fight in the first round by TKO.

On August 20, 2022, Luis Saldaa and Woodson squared up at UFC 278. He battled to a split draw verdict.

Jenan Ally, Woodson’s girlfriend, and he are currently dating. According to his Facebook account, he and Ally have been together since January 18, 2018.

Woodson claimed Ally had been his crush since high school on Valentine’s Day 2020.

He admitted that  “Ally believed in me right away. She has been there at every stage and will remain till the finish. We have an unbreakable bond, and I cherish her.”

Some people think the pair have already tied the knot. This rumor started when the six-two fighter posted a pic for Ally captioning ‘happy anniversary’ on November 7, 2020, via Instagram.

Though it’s unclear whether they were celebrating their wedding specifically or just another significant moment in their relationship.
