The investigation into the  Terry Boyd murder case, a 35-year-old man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, began on October 21, 2009.

Terry Boyd was found dead on Vermilion Drive in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the early hours of October 21, 2009. 

By the time the police arrived, Boyd’s body was sprawled on a bloodied leather couch, together with $402 in cash and a disposable camera. 

A post-mortem examination of Boyd’s body revealed traces of narcotics, including marijuana, codeine, and morphine.

Boosie Murder Trial: A $2,800 Murder-for-Hire

Boosie, whose real name is Torrance Hatch, is accused of killing Boyd in a $2,800 murder-for-hire scheme.

 According to the prosecutor, Boosie allegedly hired Louding to murder Boyd after receiving a letter accusing Boyd of attempting to rob him. 

The defense, however, claims Boyd and Boosie had a friendly relationship and that there is no such letter in evidence.

Boosie’s team has also attacked the prosecution’s case, claiming that Boosie’s gangsta rap lyrics.

Which criticize law enforcement officials, are being unfairly used against him. Despite Lil Boosie having a child with Boyd’s sister.

The prosecutor has accused Boosie of orchestrating the murder, stating that Boyd had to be “eliminated” and that Louding had to kill him in a “cowardly” manner.

According to the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Dana Cummings, the murder was “execution-style,” with Boyd asleep on the couch. 

Cummings claims that Louding shot Boyd multiple times with a 9 mm handgun before fleeing. 

The prosecutor has used Louding’s taped confession and telephone records that trace Louding to Boosie’s recording studio.
