His big paycheck comes from his signing bonus, as he’s making a nice $25 million from that portion of his deal.

This is the first year of Brady’s new extension with the Buccaneers that he signed earlier in March, which keeps him in Tampa Bay through the 2022 season.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Brady will earn $41.075 million total from his restructured contract, and there are three voidable years. Pelissero reported his cap hit is just $9.075 million.

“In 2020, he launched 199 Productions, a nod to the number of his selection in the 2000 NFL draft, to develop documentaries, films and TV shows,” according to Forbes. Tom Brady has also launched an NFL business called Autograph.

Brady signed a new deal with the Buccaneers in the offseason to keep him in Tampa Bay at least until the end of the 2022 season. Should he decide to retire at the end of this season, the Buccaneers would recover $16 million of his signing bonus.

According to ESPN, Brady received $500,000 for reaching the playoffs, and then a further $500,000 on each of his two great victories over the Saints and Packers.

But seeing as Brady seems to have his eyes set on playing a bit past this year, it appears that won’t be an issue.
